Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invites applications from candidates who have qualified respective educational qualifications to fill approx. 4500 vacancies of Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO) post through SSC CHSL 2022 Notification from 06 December 2022 to 04 January 2023. The candidates who want to get this opportunity can apply through online mode.

Application Fee

After ensuring the correctness of the details in the SSC CHSL 2022 application form, candidates are required to pay the SSC CHSL 2022 application fee through the payment gateway on the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) website integrated with the online application. Online fee payment through Net Banking or debit / credit card will be available upto 04 January 2023 at 23.00 hrs.

The SSC CHSL Recruitment 2022 fee payment can be made by using Debit card, Credit card and Net Banking etc by providing information as per the instructions on the your computer screen.


SSC CHSL Age Limit

Date of Birth filled by the candidate in the SSC CHSL 2022 online application form and the same recorded in the Matriculation/ Higher Examination Certificate will be accepted by the Commission/ Department for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted.

SSC CHSL 2022 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
  • The candidate must possess Essential Qualification on or before the cut-off date i.e. 04 January 2023. Read the official notification for more details.

Skill Test for DEO/ DEO Grade ‘A’: Entry Speed of 8,000 Key Depressions per hour on Computer. The duration of the Test will be 15 (Fifteen) minutes.

Typing Test for LDC/ JSA:  30 words per minute (w.p.m.). 35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to about 10500 key depressions per hour and about 9000 key depressions per hour respectively.

SSC CHSL 2022 Selection Process

The SSC CHSL 2022 Computer Based Examination (CBT) will be conducted in two tiers as indicated below (Tier-I and Tier-II).

SSC CHSL 2022 Tier 1 Exam Pattern

The SSC CHSL Tier-I Examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only. The questions will be set in English and Hindi for Part-II, III & IV. Time allowed- 60 Minutes (80 Minutes for candidates eligible for scribe as per Para 8.1 and 8.2).

Negative Marking: There will be SSC CHSL 2022 negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

SSC CHSL 2022 Tier 2 Exam Pattern

Tier-II will be conducted in two sessions – Session –I & Session-II, on same day. It will be mandatory for the candidates to qualify all the sections of SSC CHSL Tier-II. Module-I of Section-III i.e. Computer Knowledge Test is mandatory but qualifying in nature.
